Weinberg Summer Grants

Weinberg Summer Grants

About

Awards are made to Weinberg spring quarter sophomores and juniors (and first-years if funds are available) of a $3500 stipend to cover research and living expenses for an eight-week summer period; graduating seniors are not eligible. To accept this stipend students must agree to take on no other internship, paid work, study abroad, or research grant during the eight-week period, nor be enrolled in courses for any part of this period. (Limited volunteer work is allowed.) Also, the eight week period may not be broken into parts; the eight weeks of research must be consecutive. Applicants must typically apply for a URG Summer Grant first. If that application is not successful, or if one has received a URG Summer Grant in the past, then one is eligible for WCAS Summer Grant consideration. Pro-rated grants for six or seven weeks may be considered for funding.
